Sashiko Embroidery, including kit choice

Have you ever wanted to learn how to try Sashiko embroidery, but felt daunted? I will show you how to do this beautiful Japanese embroidery method in a simplified way, without pressure to adhere to strict stitch lines. There will be a choice of kit from my four Sashiko designs. All of them are suitable for beginners and include only one type of stitch, running stitch. There is an extra stitch to make your project into a case, and that is blanket stitch, which is also easy to do. I will demonstrate all of the steps and the stitches. My Sashiko kits contain all of the materials needed to complete the project, and all other tools will be available to use in the studio. This workshop is especially suitable for complete beginners as the stitches are very simple, but used to great effect. You will have the opportunity and instructions on how to make your embroidery into a needle case, a journal cover, a cushion cover, or tote bag. You will have a pure linen panel to embroider onto, and Sashiko threads by Japanese brands such as Olympus, and you will have a Sashiko embroidery needle pack by Olympus too. Kit contents included in the workshop, and for you to take home: - A choice of Sashiko kit, from Spring Flowers, Cherry Blossom, Blackbird, or Alocasia Zebrina. - Each kit contains a pure linen panel, and Sashiko threads, Sashiko needles, embroidery pattern, guide, water soluble fleece, cotton webbing. Some kits also contain wool felt, and wool blanket wadding. All materials are provided, and you will have materials to take with you to finish your project at home. All other materials that you will need will be for use within the studio. If you have any materials, threads or embellishments that you would particularly like to use, this is very much encouraged.
