This pretty kit comes with a set of six full skeins of Victoria's Favourites stranded cotton threads from the Luca S brand, and two of the large 49cm pure linen fabric panels! The threads are super smooth to stitch with, and there will be oodles left for other projects. Also within the kit is a skein of beautiful pink linen cotton thread, two John James embroidery needles, carbon paper, and cotton webbing drawstring in case you would like to make a project bag. These kits will be sent out week commencing the 10th of June on my return from the Threads Textile Festival.
The instructions include how to make a bag with one of the panels, or with two of the panels, or a hand sewn cushion using both panels, there is a lot to choose from and a lot of uses for the gorgeous pure linen panels.
This design is suitable for beginners and advanced stitchers alike, and contains only four simple stitches. full instructions, a stitch guide, and video stitch tutorials are all included. The felt applique is easily applied with straight stitches and no complicated pinning or glueing is required. Instructions are provided.

- Straight Stitch
- French Knots.
- Split Stitch.
- Couched Stitch.
- Buttonhole/Blanket Stitch (optional).
- Woven Border Stitch, used as a decorative stitch along the bag hem (optional).
If you are creating a cushion then all you will need is the stuffing, and a pair of scissors to cut the thread.
An embroidery hoop is available for use with this kit. I always recommend the use of an embroidery hoop, and 5" and 6" hoops are available on this website in the 'Supplies' section.
Not suitable for children as it includes an embroidery needle and small parts.
The fabric and threads are washable by cool hand wash. If you are concerned about fabric shrinkage, hand wash the linen before embroidering, and first run a line of stitch around all edges before washing.
